This privacy policy describes how True Builders of Minnesota LLC ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with TrueBuildersHQ, our internal business management application, and our website truebuildersmn.com.
TrueBuildersHQ is an internal tool used by employees and authorized personnel of True Builders of Minnesota LLC to manage construction projects, estimates, customer records, and company bookkeeping. It is not a consumer product and is not available to the general public.
Customer and project information. Names, contact details, property addresses, project details, estimates, contracts, and payment records for customers of our construction business, entered by our staff in the course of doing business.
Company financial information. Business bank and credit card transaction data (dates, merchants, amounts, and categories) for accounts owned by True Builders of Minnesota LLC, imported through Plaid (see below). We do not collect or store financial account data belonging to our customers through this integration.
Application usage records. Sign-in events and activity logs for the staff members who use the application, kept for security auditing.
We use Plaid Inc. to connect our own company financial accounts to our bookkeeping system. When we connect an account through Plaid, we authorize Plaid to retrieve transaction information from our financial institution. Plaid's handling of that information is described in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. Bank access credentials are entered directly with Plaid and are never seen or stored by our application. Access tokens are stored encrypted on our server infrastructure and are accessible only to server-side systems, never to web browsers.
Information is used solely to operate our construction business: preparing estimates and contracts, tracking jobs, recording payments, categorizing business expenses, and producing internal financial reports. We do not sell personal information. We do not share information with third parties except for the service providers listed below, or where required by law.
We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run this application: Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare (website hosting), Plaid (financial account connectivity for our own accounts), and Anthropic (AI assistance for drafting estimate content). Each provider processes data only as needed to provide its service.
All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS 1.2 or better) and stored with encryption at rest. Application access requires authentication, and financial features are restricted by per-user permissions. Administrative access to our infrastructure is limited to company ownership and protected by multi-factor authentication.
Business records, including financial transactions, are retained while they remain relevant to the operation of the business and to meet bookkeeping, tax, and legal requirements. Customers may request correction or deletion of their personal information by contacting us; we will honor such requests except where retention is required by law.
